You lot are good at making people apologise for being ableist and stuff. Thus, I have a challenge for you. BBC3 (TV channel over in Britain, but then you all probs know about the Beeb) just decided it would be a good idea to replace ‘r*****ed’ with ‘autistic’ as a form of censoring (how does that even work?). Make them pay for it, would you? I really don’t want that kind of crap to be considered acceptable.
I am a USian with no official state of residence; I have zero power concerning BBC.
But this doesn’t surprise me, sadly. Autistic is the new r*****ed in terms of slurs. Thanks, awareness!
I’m not in the UK. That said is there a post somewhere that might explain this in a bit more detail? I want to know if it extends to BBC america as well.
UK followers, you know what to do.
Looks like the BBC itself needs collecting. Have they been listening to Benedict Cumberbatch about how to be ableist or something?
Wow what who…
Thought that was a good idea.
Signal boosting for my UK followers. Geez Louise.
