Because apparently I need to spell this out for people:

priv·i·lege/ˈpriv(ə)lij/

Noun:

A special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to one person or group of people.

If you are a white heterosexual male you have an advantage over everyone who is not white, heterosexual, or male. Can you control this? NO. Does this make you a bad person? NO. But to ignore that you are privileged is downright ignorant and further promotes racism/sexism/homophobia.

It’s an exceedingly basic concept.
